Tess Franklin is a recurring character in the first season of the Netflix original series, First Kill. She is portrayed by MK xyz.

Season 1[]
Walking home, a guy on the street catcalls Tess while she videocalls Calliope. Tess asks if the reason she hasn't heard from her is that she has a new girlfriend. Calliope answers that there might be someting, but that she doesn't know. Tess says she is no longer in Philly and that she finally got her first kill and shows her tattoo. She then has to hang up since her parents have thrown her a surprise party for her first kill.[1]
When the Franklin family and Jack are at the Burns' home, Tess is the first to greet Cal when she gets home. She is there to fight the legacy vampires.[2]
Later, Tess and Calliope have a practice sparring fight, where Cal is clearly the better fighter (even Tess' father comments on it). [3]
After a game of Mahjong with Mike and her brothers, Calliope walks away concerned. Tess follows to comfort her and Cal confides with Tess that she is hesitant because she feels like the monsters might not be that bad and to the monsters, the hunters are the actual monsters for them. [3]
Tess tells her father, who retaliates with forbidding Calliope to join the hunt. Tess also says Calliope thinks they are as bad as the monsters they hunt, suprising and angering Cal.[3]
Tess joins the hunt, and when the legacy vampires start to wake up again Tess finds her parents' impaled to a tree. She cries and confronts Oliver, who says he did kill them but had help. She throws a spear at him which he catches, then Apollo comes up behind and throws another spear he also catches. But when turned away from Tess, she impales him from behind. Apollo drags her off and tells her to leave. She cries as she walk away.[4]
Back at the Burns' home, she gets patched up by Talia while Theo yells at Apollo for not returning when called. She defends him then stares at Oliver wwhile crying. When they find out Calliope and Cook is missing, she says she overheard her parents talking and that the Guild knows where Cook took her. Talia comforts her when she says she wants to go home.[4]
After the fight when Talia confronts JoJo about the spears not working. She asks if they have taken Cal, which JoJo denies, then leaves when asked to. Talia says she should stay with them, but JoJo says there are guild protocols that need to be followed. Its not know what happens to Tess after that.[4]
