A psychic connection occurs when a Legacy vampire bites their victim but doesn't drain their blood or turn them. The bond links their minds together to the point where they become intrinsically connected and bonded.

Juliette and Calliope[]
After Juliette bit Calliope in the pantry during a party, they unknowingly formed a psychic connection.
During the fight at the Fairmont Estate, Juliette heard Calliope scream and rushed to save her, later learning that her mouth was duct taped and the scream was in her thoughts. Despite this, Juliette somehow heard her distress signal.[1] They experience visceral, vivid dreams of one another in differing circumstances. These visions occasionally take place in the "real world", where Cal visits Juliette's room in a dream. Calliope's dream took place in what Juliette claimed was the Garden of Eden.[2]
Cal's family attempted to remove this bond through a severing ceremony led by Theo, though it didn't work on the girls. [3] Instead, it seems to have affected Theo. When Juliette climbs a tree outside Calliope's window, Cal says she didn't hear her but just knew she was there.[3]
When Juliette and Calliope fight and Jules leave, Cal screams before starting to run. Juliette, in her car, honks the horn and turns up the music to drown out her scream.[4]
