Paralyzing blood is a supernatural ability that only legacy vampires possess. Their blood, when exposed, will render anyone who makes contact with it paralyzed. This paralytic effect does wear off over time, but leaves the victim vulnerable to attack.

Season 1[]
In First Blood, when Calliope and Juliette fight on the rooftop of their school, Juliette begins to cry tears of blood as she has yet to complete her transition. The girls engage in hand-to-hand combat until Cal strikes Juliette in the face, making contact with the vampires blood. As such, Cal's hand becomes instantly paralyzed. She can't feel or move her hand. The effects eventually wore off but the paralysis kept Cal on the ground, seemingly spreading to her entire body. Cal demands to know why she can't move her hand. Juliette apologizes as it's her blood - it paralyzes people. She assures her it will wear off soon but uses the opportunity to flee the rooftop.
