Officer Garvey is a minor character in the first season of the Netflix original series, First Kill. She is portrayed by Gissette Valentin.
Garvey is a police officer in Savannah and, discretly, a member of M.A.A.M.
Throughout the Series[]
Season 1[]
In First Goodbye, Garvey is stationed at a 'monster checkpoint' after the lockdown happening after the third death in Savannah. She catches Calliope and Juliette when they are out during lockdown. She suspects them when they try to avoid the silver coin check and escorts them home to the Fairmont Residence, then secretly contact MAAM. The group goes to the Fairmont residence and protest, calling to stop hiding monsters (referring to Cal). When Sebastian calls the cops to get rid them, Garvey answers that she's off duty and hands the phone to Bunny.
Garvey's action lead to Jules and Cal having to run away and they find a wounded Theo, which Jules turns into a vampire (she thought she was just giving him a painless death).
Physical Appearance[]
Garvey is latino and has short, black hair and brown eyes.
Personality[]
When in uniform she is a very no-nonsense kind of person. She seems to take pride in 'switching sides', spiting Sebastian when he calls her.
She takes the monster threat to Savannah seriously.
She's not the brightest, or has some very strong bias, since after seeing Calliope take the silver and not be affected, she still thinks she's the vampire (and doesn't double-check Juliette's hand).
Relationships[]
Sebastian is the DA, so she has a professional relationship with him. He called her personally to ask for help, to its assumed they had a better friendly relationship.
With Juliette, she doesn't let her go off easy even though she knows who she is by just looking at her. Though this is after she has switched sides.
She respects Bunny as the authority of the MAAMs. This is evident when she doesn't speak for them herself but lets Bunny take the phone when Sebastian calls.
