Memory reset is an ability of Elinor Fairmont's to manipulate the mind of a human through eye contact. She uses it to alter or erase memories that are otherwise inconvenient for her or her family. She also force them to commit physical acts while under her manipulation, such as being quiet or not resisting her. The longevity of her reset power is widely unknown, as she is the only Legacy vampire with the power.

Elinor used this multiple times after she has fed on someone to make them forget about the encounter entirely.
She used it to make Malcolm, a forensic technician at the morgue, forget about Ashley Stanton's gruesome death so he wouldn't talk about monsters being back in Savannah. Sebastian reprimanded Elinor for using the power as its limitations and lasting effects are unknown. He doesn't have the gift, nor does her mother or siblings.
While fighting Apollo and Theo in the bathroom of a nightclub, Apollo accidentally staked Theo instead of Elinor. He was overcome with emotion and collapsed to the floor. Elinor took advantage of this moment and made Apollo forget everything after her entered the bar. He couldn't recount the events to Calliope. He tried to focuse on the incident to regain his memory, but only saw flashes of Elinor's fingernails on the bar counter. He knew she was involved in some capacity but didn't know how.
